Human Pet are a sonically driven, post-minimalist 3-piece, musically influenced by the likes of Girl Band and Bloc Party. The band have a unique ability to debase their sound; pulling songs through short and urgent, pop-industrial, noise-punk-filled arrangements. Described by listeners as mud-punk, talk-grunge and “other”, the band are lyrically inspired by modern-day mainstream life, creating satirically depressing, comically relevant imagery - with touches of contemporary British spoken word, combined with the laissez-faire attitude of 90s female alt-rock icons such as Kim Gordon and PJ Harvey.
Based in East London, Human Pet has spent the last two years following the path of many of their peers, crafting their unique live sound at renowned London venues such as The Old Blue Last, The Shacklewell Arms and The Victoria, playing for the likes of Fluffer Records, Strong Island and Teen Creeps.
